TidyHQ Alternatives for Australian Clubs

TidyHQ Alternatives for Australian Clubs

TidyHQ is a strong Australian-hosted membership platform: unlimited contacts on free Starter, mature events and payments, and a Meetings app with locked minutes, digital votes, complete board packs, and an audit trail. Clubs still shop around when they want a different mix — COI tooling, pack read tracking, or Starter-friendly member caps. This page compares options using public pricing checked on 4 November 2026.

What TidyHQ does well

Meetings app: agendas, live minutes, lock minutes for an auditable record, votes and resolutions recorded in the minutes, complete board pack in the portal, audit trail; Australian-hosted. Try meetings free — on Starter counts as one of two apps, or unlimited apps on Pro.

TidyHQ Pro unlocks unlimited apps and 30,000 outbound emails per month with lower platform transaction fees than Starter. For many clubs that is the whole operating stack in one login.

TidyHQ vs ClubCensus — where they differ

Table checked 4 November 2026 from each vendor’s public pages.

Not listed = not stated on the pages we checked on 4 November 2026. A competitor may still offer it elsewhere. ClubCensus prices match /pricing (no GST line). Member Jungle and some vendors quote prices excluding GST where noted on their site.

ClubCensus Professional+ adds per-director pack read tracking, watermarked PDF export, COI register with Compliance Guardian, compliance scoring before pack send, and director Yes/No/Abstain voting with CSV export between meetings. TidyHQ’s own Meetings comparison table does not tick “Digital voting & polls” for TidyHQ; it records votes and resolutions in the minutes. Confirm fit for your board process.

Migration checklist

Use this as a practical cutover list — adjust for your registrar and treasurer.

  • ·Export members to CSV from TidyHQ (or request an export from support)
  • ·Download constitution, policies, and last AGM minutes into a folder structure you will reuse
  • ·List open actions from the last three board meetings
  • ·Run one renewal cycle in parallel if treasurers need dual reporting
  • ·Train secretaries on where minutes are locked and where packs are distributed
  • ·Update your website “contact the secretary” path so members know which system is authoritative

When TidyHQ may still be the better fit

Stay on TidyHQ when unlimited free contacts, integrated shop/events, and TidyHQ Meetings already satisfy your board — especially on Pro with email volume.

Consider ClubCensus when COI registers, compliance scoring, pack read tracking, or director CSV voting between meetings are non-negotiable — or when Starter’s 300-member cap matches your size at lower subscription than Pro elsewhere.

FAQ

Can we use TidyHQ and ClubCensus together?
Some clubs keep TidyHQ for member-facing renewals and use ClubCensus for board workflow. That adds cost and duplicate member data unless you sync carefully — many mid-size clubs prefer one primary system.
